The AdventureDome
The Adventurdome is a 5-acre indoor theme park. It features 19 rides and attractions for all ages, including a roller coaster, a boat ride, bumper cars, an IMAX RIDEFILM cineplex, virtual reality games, climbing wall, arcade, miniature golf and snack bars.
Location: Circus Circus
Hours: Mon-Thu 10AM - 6PM Fri-Sun 10AM - midnight
Cost: Rides are $3-$5 each. An all-day ride pass is $12.95 for those 33-48 inches tall; $18.95 for those 48 inches and above. Children under 33 inches tall are admitted free. Discount for Nevada residents on weekdays.

Big Shot
Experience the weightlessness you get at 4 G's as you're launched 160 feet straight up into the air at 45mph from the top of the Stratosphere Tower.

Cinema Ride
Boasts the nation's first 3-D motion simulator ride.

Coney Island Emporium
Twenty-four hour arcade with interactive laser tag, virtual reality games, bumper cars, a shooting gallery and more.
Location: New York-New York
Hours: Open 24 hours, but children under the age of 18, unaccompanied by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult over the age of 21, may not be in the arcade during the following hours: Sunday-Thursday after 10 p.m.; Friday, Saturday & school holidays, after midnight; and Memorial Day to Labor Day, after midnight

Eiffel Tower Ride

Ride to the tower's observation deck.
Location:Paris

Cost: $9 for adults and $7 for senior citizens. Children under 5 free.

Gameworks
A 47,000-square-foot entertainment center with more than 250 games of all types, including the Sega Power Sled, which has three 8-foot sleds that riders steer through a downhill snow course; the world's tallest free-standing rock-climbing structure; a full-service restaurant, bar and two snack bars.

Grand Canal Gondola Rides
Ride in an authentic gondola through the Venice-themed shopping center while being serenaded by singing gondoliers.
Location: The Venetian Grand Canal
Hours: Sun-Thu 10AM - 11:30PM Fri-Sat 10AM - midnight
Cost: $12.50 per passenger; $5 for children 12 and under; and $50 for a private two-passenger ride (ride is 10-12 minutes).

Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix
The 7-acre park features the only banked oval Super Stock Car track in the West. Racing includes adult Gran Prix cars, go-karts and kiddie karts. Other attractions include the Dragon Roller Coaster, a Super Fun Slide, an arcade and a 7,000-square-foot restaurant and party room.
Location: 1401 N. Rainbow Blvd.

Luxor Attractions

Include the interactive attraction "In Search of the Obelisk", and "All Access", "Mysteries of Egypt" and "Cyberworld" in 3-D in the Luxor Imax Theatre.

Magic Motion Rides
Magic Motion Rides combine 70mm film, five-channel Dolby stereo sound and specially designed seats that move in sync with the on-screen action. Movies include "Desert Duel," "Devil's Mine Ride," "Runaway Train," "Space Race," "Stormrider" and "Street Luge."
Location: Excalibur
Hours: 10 a.m.-midnight Mon-Fri (until 1 a.m. Sat-Sun).

Manhattan Express Roller Coaster
Twists, loops and dives around the hotel's perimeter.
Location:New York-New York
Hours: 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays (open until 11:30 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays).

Primm Attractions
Adventure Canyon Log Flume, the Desperado Roller Coaster, the MaxFlight VR2002 Roller Coaster, motion-simulator theaters and the Turbo Drop at Buffalo Bill's.

NOTE- Do not miss the Desperado Roller coaster- as a coaster enthusiast, I highly recommend it- FUN!

Planetarium
Community College of Southern Nevada

Hours: Shows at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Fridays and 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays
Cost: General admission is $4; $2.50 for seniors, community college students and children under 12.

Race for Atlantis
Billed as the first giant-screen Imax 3D motion-simulator ride.
Location: Forum Shops at Caesars
Hours: 10 a.m.-11 p.m. daily (until midnight Fri-Sat)
Cost: $10 general admission; $9 for local residents and seniors; $7 for children 12 and under. Must be at least 42 inches tall.

Speedworld
Virtual-reality, three-quarter-scale, simulated Indy-car racing in a 40,000-square-foot facility along with two dozen interactive rides and two 3-D theaters.
Location: Sahara
Hours: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sun-Thu; 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Fri-Sat
Cost: $8 for the Indy-car experience, $3 for the theaters

Speed - The Ride
The newest roller coaster in town is a "shuttle loop" ride, traveling at speeds up to 70 mph. It goes through a tunnel, a misty cloud and a loop, and stops momentarily at the top of a 224-foot tower. It then travels, in reverse, back to the starting point.

Star Trek: The Experience
Features a complete re-creation of the promenade from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine;" Quark's Bar & Restaurant; Zek's Grand Emporium and Moogie's Trading Post; The History of the Future, a self-guided museum tour; and The Voyage Through Space, an interactive ride where visitors are "beamed" through time and space to the Transporter Room and bridge aboard the USS Enterprise.

Start-O-Fair
Amusement park at the base of the Stratosphere Tower features a tyke-sized version of the Big Shot, a Ferris wheel, bumper cars, virtual-reality bowling and a food court.
Location: The Stratosphere Hours: 10 a.m.-1 a.m. daily (until 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays)
Cost: $19.95 for an all-access pass; $17.95 for Nevada residents and senior citizens; or $1-$5 per game or ride.

Stratosphere Tower
America's tallest free-standing tower with indoor and outdoor observation decks. The tower houses two rides - the High Roller Coaster and the Big Shot.
Location: The Stratosphere
Hours: 10 a.m.-1 a.m. daily (until 2 a.m. Fri-Sat)
Cost: $6 admission to the tower; $3 for Nevada residents, senior citizens and children 4-12; free for children under 3. Rides are $8 for the Big Shot, $5 for High Roller. Value-added tower and ride passes available.

Theaters of Sensation
There are two theaters featuring five 3-d rides/films. The adventures include visits to old Venice, Mars or King Arthur's Lost World.

Dragon Battle
Excalibur
Watch the battle between a fire-breathing dragon and Merlin the Magician.

Forum Shops
Caesars Palace
More than 100 specialty retailers and upscale restaurateurs are featured in a re-creation of an ancient Roman Forum streetscape. The Fountain Festival features Bacchus and his entourage in an animated robotic show that includes lasers, music and sound effects. The Lost City of Atlantis show in the Roman Great Hall and features a fountain, lifelike animatronic characters, lasers, fire, steam and a 50,000-gallon saltwater aquarium. Also features the Race for Atlantis IMAX 3-D motion simulator.
Hours: The Fountain Festival starts at 10 a.m. and the Lost City of Atlantis starts at 11 a.m. Both shows continue every hour on the hour.

The Fountains at Bellagio
The Bellagio fountains span more than 1,000 feet and soar up to 240 feet in the air. The shows are choreographed to music ranging from Luciano Pavarotti to Frank Sinatra.
Hours: Performances every half-hour 3-8 p.m. Mon-Fri and noon-8 p.m. Sat-Sun. After 8 p.m., performances are every 15 minutes until midnight.

Fremont Street Experience
Fremont Street between Main Street and Las Vegas Boulevard
The Fremont Street Experience, a pedestrian promenade in downtown Las Vegas, features a misting system, retail carts, kiosks, free entertainment, and one-of-a-kind light and sound shows, with more than 2 million lights and 540,000 watts of sound. Shows include "Odyssey," "Las Vegas Legends," "Country Western Nights," "Heartbeat of a Planet," "The Rescue" and "Dancing in the Street."
Hours: Light and sound shows, on the hour, run dusk to midnight daily.

Masquerade Show in the Sky - Rio
This indoor entertainment experience features a cast of 36 performers, five floats, elaborate costumes and four different themed parades in which guests can participate.
Hours: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 p.m. daily
Cost: Free to spectators, $9.95 for participants

Mystic Falls Park

A 25,000-square-foot indoor park featuring "Sunset Stampede," a dancing water, laser and light show. Also features restaurants, a logo shop and the revolving Ram's Head Bar.

MGM Grand Lion Habitat

A multilevel habitat featuring four waterfalls, overhangs, a pond and Acacia trees. Can house up to five lions. Shop located next door.
Hours: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; photo opportunities are available 11 a.m.-5 p.m. daily except Tuesdays. Shop is open 9 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.

The Secret Garden of Siegfried & Roy and Dolphin Habitat
The Mirage
Features some of the world's rarest and most exotic animals, including the Royal White Tigers of Nevada and the White Lions of Timbavati. The Mirage Dolphin Habitat is home to eight Atlantic bottlenose dolphins.
Hours: Secret Garden: 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Dolphin Habitat: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays. Siegfried & Roy's performing white tigers also may be seen 24 hours a day at the south entrance of The Mirage.
Cost: General admission is $10 for both attractions, Wednesdays are half-price (for the Dolphin Habitat only); free every day for children 10 and under. Admission is $5 after 5 p.m.


Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay
Mandalay Bay
The main tank holds more than 1 million gallons of water and features a 20-foot-long acrylic tunnel for surround viewing, similiar to Sea World. The predator-based attraction has more than 2,000 animals from 100 different species, including 13 shark species, moon jellyfish, manta rays, sea turtles and golden crocodiles. Also features shops and a jungle atrium.

Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park

Features a variety of endangered cats as well as the last family of Barbary apes in the United States, chimpanzees, eagles, ostriches, emus, talking parrots, wallabies, flamingos, large exotic reptiles and every species of venomous reptile native to Southern Nevada. The zoo features a new 2,000-square-foot coati exhibit, an exhibit by the Las Vegas Gem Club, botanical displays of endangered cycads and rare bamboos and a new Children's Petting Zoo.

Wildlife Walk and Tiger Habitat

The Tropicana
A natural bird, wildlife and reptile habitat on the walkway between the hotel's two towers. There is also a tiger habitat outside the hotel entrance.
